Trex Decking Gold Coast

Gold Coast's Leading Trex Installer

GJR Decking is a certified Trex Pro Platinum installer on the Gold Coast, the highest tier in Trex’s builder program. That certification is earned through training, building quality and hands-on experience with the product. It means your deck is installed to Trex’s standards, which also helps protect your warranty from day one.

Trex is the world’s number one composite decking brand for a reason. It’s built from 95% recycled materials, engineered to handle harsh coastal climates, and backed by warranties that most decking products can’t match. For homeowners on the Gold Coast looking for a deck that performs without the upkeep, it’s hard to go past.

If you’re considering Trex for your project, get in touch, and we’ll talk through which range suits your space, your style and how you plan to use it.

What is Trex?

The World's Leading Composite Decking Brand

Trex is the world’s number one selling composite decking brand, holding approximately 40% of the global market share. Founded in the 1990s, Trex pioneered the composite decking industry and has been setting the standard ever since.

Trex boards are engineered with a high-performance protective shell that resists fading, staining, scratching and moisture damage, giving you a deck that performs year after year with virtually no maintenance.

Unlike traditional timber, Trex decking won’t rot, warp, splinter or crack. There’s no sanding, no staining, no oiling. Just a deck that looks and performs the way it should.

Design Possibilities With Trex

One of the reasons we favour Trex is its design flexibility. Composite boards can be curved, shaped and laid in patterns that natural timber can’t achieve. We’ve built Trex decks with herringbone patterns, two-tone layouts with contrasting borders and inlays, curved sections that follow pool edges, and custom feature work that pushes the limits of the product.

If you’ve got a design in mind, or even just a rough idea of what you’re after, we can talk through what’s achievable during the consultation.

Why Choose a Trex Pro Platinum Installer

Trex makes the boards, but they don’t install them. They run a tiered builder program so homeowners can find installers who know the product and follow the correct installation methods.

As platinum installers, we have access to the latest products, technical support and installation resources from Trex. It also matters for your warranty. Certain Trex warranty conditions require the deck to be installed by a certified builder, so choosing a Platinum installer helps protect your investment from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Trex decking get hot?

This is one of the most common questions we hear. Budget composite products from big-box retailers can get hot, but Trex boards are engineered differently. The Transcend range stays cooler than hardwood in direct sun, and the Lineage range features SunComfortable Technology that further reduces heat buildup. If your deck is in full sun, we’ll typically recommend Lineage or a lighter colour from the Transcend range.

Trex Transcend and Lineage boards are backed by a 50-year limited residential warranty covering fade and stain resistance. With basic care, your Trex deck will look great for decades. The Select range carries a 25-year limited warranty.

Absolutely. Trex boards are slip-resistant, splinter-free and won’t rot or warp from moisture exposure. There’s no resin bleed to stain concrete or pool coping. The Lineage range is particularly popular for pool surrounds due to its heat mitigation properties.

Yes. Unlike inferior composite products, which can be stripped by a pressure washer, Trex boards can withstand a high-pressure clean at recommended settings. For regular maintenance, warm water and a broom or soft brush are all you need.

Trex decking is made from 95% recycled materials, including reclaimed wood fibre and recycled plastic from everyday household items. It’s one of the most eco-friendly decking products available.
